My mission is for this class to empower students through hands-on experience in broadcasting and audio/video production, fostering creativity, collaboration, and real-world media skills. By creating student-led content such as news segments, interviews, and video projects, I aim to give students a voice while preparing them for future opportunities in media and technology.

About Broadcasting (Audio/Video Production)

Next year, we are launching an exciting, brand-new course in Broadcasting & Audio/Video Production for junior high students! This class will introduce students to the world of digital media, including video production, audio editing, on-camera presenting, and behind-the-scenes tech skills. Our goal is to help students learn how to create meaningful content, express themselves creatively, and develop real-world communication and technical abilities. 

To bring this vision to life, we are seeking donations to help us build a functional, student-centered production space. Your support will help us purchase essential equipment and materials that will allow our students to: 
 -Film school news, interviews, and announcements 
-Record high-quality audio for podcasts and voiceovers 
-Learn video editing, scriptwriting, and production planning 
-Build confidence in front of and behind the camera 
-Collaborate on real-world projects that showcase their creativity and skills 

We are hoping to receive support for the following items: 
Cameras (DSLR or mirrorless for high-quality video) 
-Tripods and stabilizers
-Lighting kits (LED softboxes or ring lights) 
-Backdrops and backdrop stands 
-Headphones for editing -SD cards, cables, and memory storage 
-Organizational items like storage bins, labels, and whiteboards for planning
