Decodable books and Station Materials

Toni Green / RJ Wollam Elementary 2024-25

I have many activities planned throughout the year. Oftentimes, we ask our families for some of the items but other times the teachers purchase the items. With the help of the Santa Fe Education Foundation and the generous donors our students will be able to have a memorable first grade year of fun and engaging activities. I'm wanting to purchase decodable books and new station tubs and games.

About Decodable books and Station Materials

Decodable books are books that help beginning readers learn to read by using phonics. They are designed to help students practice letter-sound relationships and build confidence in reading.

During the day students participate in station time, once for literacy and once for math. Station time is happening while the teacher is conducting a small group. At stations students use skills they know, and skills that need more practice while having fun while learning. My goal is to update both literacy and math station materials. Recently our curriculum has been updated, and the stations need to follow. With your donation I will be able to purchase materials to give to students during independent station time. For example, flashlights, dry erase pockets, STEM bins, tape, cardstock, and so much more!”  Thank you for considering and donating to our Wish List.  Thank you for considering my wish list.
