Jr. Sunshine Committee

The Jr. Sunshine Committee offers many benefits for the students and the school community. The committee fosters a sense of responsibility, leadership, and teamwork among the students participating by allowing them to spread kindness with different activities. The students involved gain self-confidence as they contribute to making their school a better place. The committee also creates a positive atmosphere in the school by promoting kindness and spreading positive messages throughout the school.

About Jr. Sunshine Committee

This wish list will help provide the materials and supplies needed for a variety of meaningful activities throughout the year. In the past, these have included:

  • Welcome treats or gifts for our Pre-K and Kindergarten students

  • Posters for Red Ribbon Week and Kindness Month

  • Bookmarks for the library during Read Across America Week

  • Holiday cards for our teachers and administrative staff

  • End-of-year treats

  • Send-off posters for our fifth graders transitioning to middle school

We’ve also organized a clothing drive for Tribe’s Closet and maintain the Kindness Rock Garden on campus. Additionally, wish list contributions will help provide snacks for participants during meetings, as well as supplies for a year-end celebration to recognize all that these students have accomplished.
